It was a pleasure to work with Amanda Barnes MW, author of The South America Wine Guide, on a series of six events held across three U.S. cities this March. Over the course of the tour, 24 wineries were represented—some at each stop, and others at one or two—offering a broad snapshot of South America’s vibrant wine landscape.

We felt very fortunate to showcase such a diverse range of wines, and were encouraged by the strong turnout and positive feedback from both trade and consumer guests in all three cities. It was a real credit to the producers and the quality of wines they brought to the table.

Thanks to the enthusiastic response, particularly from the trade, we’re exploring opportunities to continue the series—and we’re pleased to be planning a similar event in Chicago this August.

Houston

This was our first time presenting in this market, and we were genuinely encouraged by the enthusiasm at the trade masterclass. Attendees showed real interest in exploring the diversity of South American wine regions and producers in greater depth.

The trade program featured a 12-wine masterclass followed by a relaxed free-pour tasting with light bites. In the evening, consumers took part in an 8-wine masterclass, which was also well received.

We’re especially grateful to the team at the Texas Wine School for their warm hospitality and support throughout the day.

Miami

It was a beautiful day to host the event at Amara on the waterfront, and we were fortunate to welcome a full room of 50 attendees for the Masterclass. Interest was high—we’d been operating a waitlist since the week prior—and the walkaround session also reached full capacity. The terrace, with its stunning view over the water, added to the lively and welcoming atmosphere.

In the evening, a group of consumers joined us for an 8-wine masterclass, paired with delicious bites from the kitchen.

Palm Beach

In Palm Beach, trade attendance exceeded expectations, and the session sparked thoughtful discussion and insightful questions around the wines and the regions behind them. That evening, consumers enjoyed a six-wine masterclass in an intimate setting. We were pleased to host the day’s events at Virginia Philip’s Wine & Spirits Academy and are grateful for the generous welcome from her team.
